Well, we've made it to Cumbria and I'm pleased to say that it's not as technologically challenged as I first feared - yes, folks, there's digital telly, the internet and all manner of modern conveniences - my apologies to Cumbrians everywhere.

For those of you who know nothing about Cumbria here's a picture of Bassenthwaite Lake courtesy of Simon Ledingham. Bassenthwaite Lake is about 15 minutes drive from my humble abode with the Irish Sea 5 minutes in the opposite direction. Believe me, there are worse places to live.
